Theme for Crucible 2026

Thriving in Uncertainty

Market volatility, geopolitical tension, and rapid technological disruption are no longer exceptions, they're the environment we operate in. For startups and scaleups, this new reality demands more than agility. It calls for strategic resilience, bold decision-making, and the ability to spot opportunity in the midst of chaos. At Crucible 2026, we explore what it truly means to thrive, not just survive in uncertain times. How do founders lead with confidence when the ground is constantly shifting? What separates the companies that break through from those that break down? From navigating unstable markets to leveraging disruptive technologies like AI, energy transitions, and global capital shifts, we need to focus on building startups that are not only future-ready but future-defining. This is not about waiting for stability, it's about building strength in the storm.

FAQ

  • Where is Crucible 2026 held?
The event will be held at the brand new Kreative Kraftverk, located at Løkkegata 16, in the heart of Lillehammer, Norway. This modern venue will offer an inspiring and dynamic setting for Crucible 2026.
  • Why is the event in English?
Crucible is designed to bring together innovators, entrepreneurs, and thought leaders from across Norway and around the world. By hosting the event in English, we make it possible for everyone, regardless of background or nationality to fully participate, share ideas, and connect. We believe that solving today’s challenges and building the companies of tomorrow requires global collaboration and fresh perspectives. Using English as the event language helps foster a truly international community, making Crucible a welcoming place for both Norwegian and international attendees, speakers, and partners. This approach ensures that Crucible remains open, accessible, and relevant in a global innovation ecosystem.
  • How do I get to the venue by public transport?
Lillehammer’s main train and bus station (Lillehammer Skysstasjon) is just a 10-minute walk (750 meters) from the venue (Kreative Kraftverk).
  • Can I attend as a day trip from Oslo?
Yes, absolutely! There are at least three morning trains from Oslo S that arrive in Lillehammer before the event begins, and three return trains after the event ends. The train journey is comfortable and takes around two hours each way. You can find the latest timetable here.
  • Are there any activities before or after the event on the same day?
Yes! Our partners will host several side events, such as breakfast gatherings before the event and dinners or mingling sessions afterward. We recommend signing up for our newsletter to get the latest updates and announcements about these activities.
  • Should I stay overnight in Lillehammer?
We recommend staying overnight if you can! Lillehammer offers a wide range of accommodation options for all budgets, from cozy hotels to modern apartments. Staying locally allows you to make the most of after-event networking and any meetings or activities that may take place the next day. It’s a great way to fully experience Crucible 2026 and connect with other attendees.
  • Will food be served at the event?
All attendees will enjoy complimentary coffee, tea, and small snacks throughout the day. If you have an Attendee+ ticket, lunch is included, as well as dinner at our Roundtable Dinner event. If you don’t have an Attendee+ ticket, there are many great nearby restaurants that we strongly recommend trying.
  • Is there parking at the venue?
Yes, there is parking available near Kreative Kraftverk, with several public lots within walking distance. However, we strongly recommend using public transport or carpooling if possible, to help reduce our environmental impact.
